If you want to create something a little fancier, then you can index your posts based on something other than their titles. It was a little extra work to put this index together, since I had to add two Custom Fields to each of the (fake) book review blog posts I wanted in the index—one with the name of the book, and one with the name of the author (last name, first).
Then all that was left to do was create an index, setting the “Author” custom field as the headings, the “Work” custom field as the subheadings, and turning on the “Group items with the same heading…” option, and you can see the results below.
